Thanks to everyone who had came to support and "voted" for my blog! ^^
Didn't screen through everything la, but saw a few familiar names when I went to kpo around haha.
Janet said I was checking out competition, lol. But to be honest, I was more than happy to just be able to participate in the event! :) It's always nice gathering friends and love ones, catching up on movies and enjoy free stuffs - Ben & Jerry's indulgence and popcorn!
Oh and coincidentally, I bumped into one of my uni mates who happened to be one of the five bloggers!
He has a food blog over here :)
What a joy to find someone familiar, esp right before having to walk up (or rather, down) to the front of the movie theater and give an impromptu introduction of ourselves *sweats*
Thankfully the lights were erm, semi-dim and audiences were mainly friends..and kids.

My OOTD.
Wasn't feeling too well, so no face >.<
H&M stripey dress
Staple cardigan
Prada tote
Loafers from BKK

Redeeming for our B&J and popcorn!
For dd, mel, celine and me :)

Disney's Planes is an animation carrying the warm-hearted tale of a crop duster plane with a fear of heights and lives his dream of competing in a famous around-the-world aerial race.
A lesson on determination, perseverance, passion and kindness.
If you have kids, this is the movie for them!

And if possible, after you watched the show, can tell me why did Ishani (the Pan-Asian champion from india) change her propellers after attempting to sabotage Dusty?
Lol. Didn't quite catch that part of the show.

Big thank you GV! :)

National Day Parade (NDP) 2013

Got tickets to the one of the NDP show this year yay!

OOTD :)

Dug out some old Agneselle items.
Agneselle waterfall top
Agneselle clutch
Red jeggings from uniqlo

Design of the goodie bag we got!

The cheeise crackers were abit disappointing lolx.

Before the parade.

Whee!

Not biased, but I really feel that this is the best performance out of the entire show!
There was an unanimous "wow" coming from the audience, esp during the part of  the flashing HOORAY done so coordinately.
Even the two ang mohs in front of us who didn't seem to understand the NDP, began to clapp so loud for the human led item (and then left shortly after the next performance :X).

Merlion came too! hahaha.
This was quite a hilarious segment of the show.

Balls playing.

Fireworks!

Heart-shaped fireworks!

Délifrance Michelin “Le Paris-Singapore” sandwich

Soon after the craze of Michelin-starred dim sum eatery, Tim Ho Wan, opening in Singapore, we have another similar Michelin commotion to look forward to!

To commemorate its 30th Anniversary in Singapore, Délifrance have launched its first-ever Michelin sandwich – the “Le Paris-Singapore” – created by renowned 1-star Michelin chefs Jacques and Laurent Pourcel from France.

Born in Montpelier, in the south of France, Jacques and Laurent Pourcel opened their first restaurant Le Jardin des Sens in Montpellier in 1988 at the tender age of 23.
In 2000, working from their Montpellier restaurant, the two brothers embarked on an international expansion, which places them amongst the most active chefs in the world. Their gastronomic footprint is found in Paris, Shanghai, Bangkok, Tokyo, Marrakesh, Algiers, Beirut and many other places in the world.

Was glad to join Michhysarous in the media event for the “Le Paris-Singapore” sandwich. Thanks dear! :)

Rushed over after work and the haze was quite bad that evening! >.< But it was worth the trip!

ootd from HERE :)

Had the canapés (including macarons!) from Délifrance s very own catering arm while waiting for the event to begin. If you’re interested, can check it out here :)

Hosted by blogger, Magdalene, the media event enlightened us on the inspiration behind the commemorative Le Paris-Singapore sandwich.

Chef Jacques Pourcel was also present at the media event to conduct live demonstration of the featured sandwich.

With a mix of artisan French authentic bakery and an Asian flavour, Le Paris-Singapore is a unique association between mayonnaise & oyster spread which bring roundness to the Thai chilli roast chicken. The tantalising taste is reinforced by the walnut notes of the Wakame (Japanese algae) and juicy pineapple slices.

Specially imported from France, the softness of Délifrance s French rustic baguette adds on lightness and a delicate aroma of fresh cream and sweet almond to the whole creation.

Afterwhich, we had the honour of making (or rather, attempting) the sandwich alongside with Chef Jacques Pourcel.

Members of the Media had the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the famous Michelin Chef Jacques Pourcel and even try their hand at making the Le Paris Sandwich

Here’s how mine turned out keke.
NOT TOO BAD RIGHT ;)

The ingredients used are as follows if you’re interested :)

French Rustic Baguette
Mayonnaise & oyster spread
French baby spinach
Roast chicken marinated with Thai chilli sauce
Pineapple slices
Wakame (Japanese Algae)

The Michelin sandwich, Le Paris-Singapore, is available at selected Délifrance outlets at S$10.80 (a la carte) for a limited period. Patrons can opt to pair the sandwich with a special Monin Sparkling Drink and purchase the set meal at S$12.80.

The Monin Sparkling Drinks – The Pink Grapefruit & Elderflower Spritz & Le Spicy Mangue Collins – are specially concocted by Monin to compliment the Le Paris‐Singapore sandwich.

Personally, we like the Le Spicy Mangue Collins drink becos the name matches the Le Paris-Singapore. Hahaha. Kidding -_- But I’ve never tried a spicy fruit drink ever in my life, so this flavour really came as a surprise! A very delightful one at it :)

As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations, Délifrance s customers will be able to enter a lucky draw, where one lucky winner will walk away with a “French Art of Living” experience worth more than $6,000!

The unique experience includes a pair of economy class return ticket to Paris, 3 nights accommodation and a one-day French baking class at The Paris Bakery and Patisserie School by Grands Moulins de Paris, parent company of Délifrance Group.

There they will get to learn about the secrets behind the stone-baked rustic breads and other heavenly bakery items that France is famous for.

One just needs to spend a minimum of $10 at any Délifrance outlet between 1 June and 31 August 2013, to be eligible for the SMS lucky draw.
