Pamper yourself @ Style Essential Inc with Mary Kay products!

Trying hard to clear my backlogs now :x
Got invited to a pampering (read: bare face, so beware! lol) session at Style Essential Inc last month, set-up by Joey Song.

She belongs to the type of girls i'm so envious of!
Petite, fair skinned and blessed with big eyes!

Photobucket

Style Essential Inc uses extremely good products from Mary Kay - One of the largest direct sellers of skincare and cosmetics in the world.

Joey and her assistant were so sweet to prepare and customise each of our pampering areas early in the morning!
And each of us got a welcome gift :)

Here's our sweet Joey.

Photobucket

We started off with Mary Kay's peach (my fav scent for scrubs! matchy with my body sea salt one) hand scrub.
Sorrie no pics, for obvious reasons haha, my hands were wet!
We tried the scrub on one of our hands so as to compare the before & after effects.

Look at Jowey's hands!
Her left hand became so much fairer within a minute!

Photobucket

Next up, we learnt how to pamper our skin.

Photobucket

Remember to always use our middle and fourth finger for handling our skin.
Those are called the beauty fingers. They have the least pressure on our skins and thus preventing damages caused by pulls and tugs when we wash our face or apply creams/serums/etc.

We did double cleansing of our skin.
And Joey introduced us Mary Kay's target-action eye revitalizer, which is woohoo! One of the best thing that has happened to me for my eyebags. lol.
It aims to reduce puffiness and water-retention issues within minutes of application, and it certainly did!
In addition, no fragrance were added to the eye revitalizer and hence making it more au naturel :)

Joey demonstrating the use of the eye revitalizer on my left eyebags cos i have the worst bags in the world room :(

Photobucket

Kaman happy with her eye pampering moment :)

Next up, we added the eye mask and face mask.

**BEWARE**
NEXT PHOTO ISN'T FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED!

Photobucket

argh.
Ugly, but the mask felt very good on the skin!
Can feel it absorbing excess oil and tightening the pores!
After usage, it is supposed to leave skin looking clarified and revitalized.

Photobucket

See the difference?
Left - Before and Right: After
My right cheek feels much slimmer and firmer!

After getting our skin revived, it's time to move on to makeup!

Was the model for Joey's demonstration :)

The product I loved best was the foundation primer!
It was light, not oily at all and yet highly effective.
After application, it gives a smooth velvety finishing and feel.
Within minutes, it gets absorbed into the skin and you won't feel like anything's on your face at all. Awesome!

Photobucket

We then a had lil' makeup 'contest' and Joanna won the contest hands-on with her pro makeup skills :)

Photobucket

Apple got a lip scrub/mask with compliments from Joey (she's just so kind) cos her lips are cracked really badly... :/

I went home a happy (pampered) girl that day!

If you're interested in any pampering sessions with your girlfriends or organizing a small cosy company event,  feel free to contact Joey for it!
Also, as Mary Kay products are not available in Singapore, you may wanna contact her should you wish to get your hands on them :) I highly recommend the eye revitalizer and foundation primer!

Gathering @ Sushi Tei

Merry X'mas all!!
Hope you have a heart-warming one with your friends/family!

Met up with the girls for x'mas @ Sushi Tei last week!
Thanks to omy for organizing it <3

Photobucket

Sushi Tei came up with a special 10-course dinner for us, and i'm really glad to try some of the dishes I've never had at Sushi Tei in the past :)
Have the bad habit of always eating the same few 'safe' dishes i like :x

Photobucket
Sashimi salad.
Comes in 3 types of sauces: Sushi Tei house sauce, sesame sauce, and garlic sauce.
The house sauce was most delightful out of the three!
Made of  carrots  and many other types of vegs, it certainly went very well with the salad.

Photobucket
Sashimi Moriwase.

Photobucket

My first time trying out yellow-tail sashimi. So noob. ikr!
Think i'm allergy to it, cos i had rash/bump on my eye right after that :(

Kani Mentai Mayo Roll.

Photobucket

Asari butter.
Asari clams sauteed with butter and soya sauce.
This taste surprisingly light, unlike at most places, clams are usually very saltish.

Photobucket

Hanasaki Ika Tempura.
This cost only $6 in the menu.
Very worth it!

Photobucket

Homemade meat gyoza.

Photobucket

Kaisen Chankonabe
Traditional sumo hot pot with seafood & assorted vegetable
Comes with 3 choices of soup base: Shoyu, Miso and spicy

Photobucket

It's such a nice, warm dish to have on a cold day!
Sushi Tei, being very generous, gave us overflowing pots of ingredients!

Next up, we had the golden roll, and the mini golden roll ($16 and $11 respectively).
King prawn sushi roll with mango.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Last but not least, there were the desserts!

Photobucket

These innocent-looking mochis actually explode in your mouth, filling it with sweet, fragrant coffee ice-cream.
MUST-TRY!

Photobucket

Not sure the name of this waffle dessert, but it contains vanilla ice-cream and chocolate chips right in the middle.
A classic, savoury dish!

Photobucket
Ice-balls. Looking so pretty!

Smoothie King in da house!

Photobucket

Got invited to Smoothie King's event just a day before the official opening.

Photobucket

They opened officially on 12 December 2012 at The Centrepoint mall. With over 600 stores in the United States, Singapore is the first destination in Asia for Smoothie king.

Photobucket

Smoothies Korea CEO Kim Sung-wan, 40, recently took over the U.S.-based parent company with the goal "to make everyone immediately think of Smoothie King when it comes to fruit-based drinks, just as people look for Starbucks for coffee.”

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

The new store will host a modern café style concept which is gonna be a hit in Singapore!
We all love chillin' out in nice cafes right?

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Smoothie King's smoothies are cool, thick and creamy, blended with real fruit, natural juices and our revolutionary enhancers. Each smoothie is made fresh-to-order!
They come in tons of flavors and several functions designed to meet your goals ie. staying healthy, going skinny, getting energy, refreshing your day and such.

Photobucket

There are smoothies that are low fat and under 400 calories each (based on 20 oz. size). Some have special ingredients that promote weight loss even further!

Photobucket

Photobucket

If you're feeling lethargic, there are smoothies formulated to give your body that extra boost of energy needed to wake up in the morning, get through a workout, make it through the end of the day or simply feel energized!
Further towards weight gain and muscle building?
Check out the almond banana, almond mocha, almond chocolate, pineapple mango or strawberry blueberry! They’re all either high-calorie or high-protein to fight hunger cravings and to gear you towards building muscles ;)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Personally, I've tried Strawberry X-treme, Mango Festival, Angel Food and Almond Banana.
Strawberry X-treme is extremely good!
Made of strawberries and soy protein, it tastes great like a thick strawberry ice-blended without being overwhelming sweet :) Soy protein assists in lowering bad chlolesterol and regulating hormonal balance in women (*winkwinks*). It has also shown to help reduce the rates of breast, colon and prostate cancers.
Not only does it taste delicious, it also assist in improving the overall health! Double-win!

Photobucket

Second choice would be Mango Festival that has mangoes, electrolytes, soy protein that's a great source of sodium and potassium, carbohydrates and calcium. Excellent supplement after a work-out!
What's more, the taste of mango is so refreshing!
I can drink it anytime in sunny singapore :)

Photobucket

All other smoothies really have to bow down!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Not only does Smoothie King has smoothies, they wraps & salads to go together with your smoothie drinks to make it a complete meal!
What's more, with such cutie pies & beauties preparing your food, you ought to give it a try! ;p

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Citrus walnut salad that comes with plentiful raisins, & citrus fruits such as grapefruit and orange and zesty lemon juice.
It increases your appetite at the first scent of the dish. But not to worry about eating more, cos it's a real healthy and fresh salad! <3

Photobucket

Photobucket

Generous servings of juicy fruits, yums!

Photobucket

Tomato & mozzarella taco wrap, good for a light meal ;)

If you need a slightly heavier meal, go for the chicken wrap!

Photobucket

Teriyaki chicken breast wrap, served warm which makes it a delightful bite.

Photobucket

Photobucket

There was a lucky draw and KaMan got the prize!
We swear that there was something going on between him and kaman cos he was looking at her like half the time he was picking the drawcards?? hahaha. Caught red-handed on camera!
