We attempted a couple shot with the beautiful skyline background.
But it was too windy!! My hair either covered my face or got into his face!
And our faces kinda got frozen by the cold wind.

This is the best shot out of the like, 20, 30 shots we took lol.

Haiya, show you all the actual background bah.

Looked for an indoor place that can keep the cold out.
So we went to SOGO to have our dinner.

Always love how the thinly-sliced cuttlefish move with the warm air heated by the hot food.

We got alcohol to warm ourselves a lil, lol.

And then the next thing we took was Haagen Dazs -___-

But hey! At least it's alcohol-flavoured still? :D

Cold & tired us!

Looking through the photos makes me miss HK :`)
It turned out to be quite a good trip, despite us having other distractions around the same period.
As we were planning our financial resources for something else (more exciting hee) in the same month, we had tried to make this Hong Kong trip a more "value-for-money" holiday!
In total, we spent only $550 each for both airfares and accomodation!

Airfare (Round-trip with Jetstar includng luggage to/fro) - $203
Accomodation 1N (Holiday Inn Macau) - $80
Accomodation 4N (Wimdu Austin/TST apartment) - $266

Total - $549! ^^

Hahaha. Okay, pardon me. It's just quite a cheap thrill to be able to spend so little yet enjoy ourselves just the same for this HK trip!
Afterall, we spent most of our time shopping/eating in HK, hence I thought our accomodation need not be fanciful or luxurious cos we don't have time to enjoy it anyways.
Furthermore, M wanted to experience local living, so it was a unanimous decision, whee!

Just thought we could have done better for the flight.
Currently we did SIN-HK-Macau-HK-SIN.
If we were to go Hong Kong (budget) again, I would do SIN-Macau-HK-SIN instead.
It would save us so much time with one less transition from HK to Macau (we spent like 5 hours from HKIA to Macau la) as well as one-trip ferry tickets expenses (forgot though how much are the ferry tickets we bought).

And yes, still Macau first cos there are less shopping to do in Macau so that we don't have to lug heavy luggages when moving over to HK :)

My initial financial plan was as follows:

Airfare (Round-trip with Jetstar includng luggage to/fro) - $203
Accomodation 1N (Holiday Inn Macau) - $80
Accomodation 4N (Wimdu Austin/TST apartment) - $266
Ocean Park tickets - $40
The Peak 3-in-1 combo incl. Mdm Tussauds - $47
Disneyland tickets - $73
Big Buddha cable tickets - $22

Total - $731

All those main attractions above + shopping would be for a very fulfilling 6d5n trip! :)
We skipped The Peak and the Big Buddha cos of the unfavourable weather. And have been there before, so it wasn't a must-go for this trip.

Anyway, tadah! It's possible to plan a HK/Macau trip for less than $1k. Less than $800 in fact!
For those on a budget, yet wishes to visit HK still, you can simply do a prioritization of your needs/wants to plan a more value-for-the-buck holiday. One important thing is to get good deals for the main attraction tickets. You can try booking advance online or get combo tickets or other means of purchasing the tickets to save quite a substantial amount :)

Ask around for others' itinerary so that you can have a reference of the to-dos and remarks others have, basically leeching on their research done la :p
Feel free to ask me for my itinerary if you need! :)

Here are the rest of my entries on the 6d5n Hong Kong/ Macau trip :)

Have fun! <3
