I first got to know Domino's Pizza back in UM days, in The Netherlands. It was the nearest pizza outlet to
our guesthouse, and thus on the days we were too lazy/busy to cook, Domino’s it was! :)
So when Domino's Pizza Singapore unveiled in stores four new localized flavoured pizzas with a delicious new sauce fondly known as “Sambal” on October 29 (coincidently my birthday!), I had to say “YES!” to the
the blogger’s food tasting invitation from omy.sg :)
I’m not one who usually takes chilli, but I do appreciate our local spicy food like sambal kang kong, curry
yellow noodles, malay laksa, mee siam etc. Very south-east asian foodstuff la. The sambal, contrastingly on a western’s main (pizza), sounds like a very refreshing & intriguing East-West fusion indeed!
Keith, Domino’s Pizza country’s operations manager patiently introduced us the 4 new pizzas and 1 new
sauce.
The sauce!
Looks innocently rested in the bowl, but mind you, it’s super HOT.
There is the Traditional Sambal topped with shredded chicken, anchovies, fresh onions, pickled chilli
and green peppers.
Keith was telling us how hard the R&D team worked to perfect the ikan bilis for this
pizza. I’m a little fearful of eating ikan bilis outside because they have high risk of turning out to be soggy
or stinky~ but Domino got it PERFECT. The crunch and taste of the anchovies turns out to be such a great
joy!
Crunchy ikan bilis, yum tums.
Had to add a little of the raw sambal sauce to up the spiciness :D
Tropical Sambal Prawn comes with succulent prawns marinated in herbs and spices, fresh onions,
pineapples, red peppers and basil.
This is great for Hawaiian pizza lovers as it tastes very similar! And I love prawns! It's definitely my FAVOURITE! On a level of 1-10, 1 being least spicy, this is around….just 2 or 3? Safe enough for everyone and anyone!
The next one is like an enhanced version of the above, the Sambal Surf & Turf featuring succulent prawns marinated in herbs and spices, shredded chicken, fresh onions, pineapple, red pepper and basil.
Similar to the Tropical Sambal Prawn above, with shredded chicken & mushrooms.

Last but not least, the fourth pizza is the Sambal Veggie, topped with fresh mushrooms, green pepper, onions, olive and tomatoes. Specially crafted for the vegans :)
Domino's Sambal Pizzas are available in all sizes, from personal (6") to xtra-large (12"). The Tropical Sambal Prawn and Sambal Surf & Turf falls under Domino's First Class Pizza range with its premium ingredients.
In line with Domino's promise to offer value for money meals for its customers, the scrumptious new Sambal Meal is now available for $25 which come complete with 1 Regular Sambal pizza + Garlic cheese onion rings + choice of dessert to end a good meal. Customers can also enjoy the Authentic Add-on Bonus of 1 Regular pizza for only $15 with any pizza purchase.
Good food makes happy people!
Here's with Ivy whom I got to know after having all the wonderful pizzas.
More details on the sides, which are now often as essential as the mains!
Garlic cheese onion rings & Crazy chicken crunchies.
Golden roasted drumlets~ This is good! Must-try!
This is chicken crunchies (original?).
The following is the most wonderful and surprising item of the day!
Cos I've honestly never knew that such a yummylicious food existed in Domino's Pizza! :x #whathadibeendoingallmylife
Oozes....
Remember, you can have this with a regular pizza + garlic cheese onion rings for just $25!
With Keith, the country's operations manager I mentioned above who led the food tasting and introduction session.
