Attended Disney's Planes movie screening at Golden Village last weekend.

Thanks to everyone who had came to support and "voted" for my blog! ^^
Didn't screen through everything la, but saw a few familiar names when I went to kpo around haha.
Janet said I was checking out competition, lol. But to be honest, I was more than happy to just be able to participate in the event! :) It's always nice gathering friends and love ones, catching up on movies and enjoy free stuffs - Ben & Jerry's indulgence and popcorn!
Oh and coincidentally, I bumped into one of my uni mates who happened to be one of the five bloggers!
He has a food blog over here :)
What a joy to find someone familiar, esp right before having to walk up (or rather, down) to the front of the movie theater and give an impromptu introduction of ourselves *sweats*
Thankfully the lights were erm, semi-dim and audiences were mainly friends..and kids.

My OOTD.
Wasn't feeling too well, so no face >.<
H&M stripey dress
Staple cardigan
Prada tote
Loafers from BKK

Redeeming for our B&J and popcorn!
For dd, mel, celine and me :)

Disney's Planes is an animation carrying the warm-hearted tale of a crop duster plane with a fear of heights and lives his dream of competing in a famous around-the-world aerial race.
A lesson on determination, perseverance, passion and kindness.
If you have kids, this is the movie for them!

And if possible, after you watched the show, can tell me why did Ishani (the Pan-Asian champion from india) change her propellers after attempting to sabotage Dusty?
Lol. Didn't quite catch that part of the show.

Big thank you GV! :)

McDonald’s Breakfast Day! Free Egg McMuffin on 18 March 2013

Are you a morning person?

I admit I’m not! Every week day morning I would drag myself of the bed, eyes half-opened/closed, banging my head into the washroom door and my sis’ towel stand, dreading to start the day while it’s still dark. Like, the sun hasn’t even woke up, why am I preparing for work already?? :(

But on 18th this month, it’s likely that I would be jumping out of bed in the morning, with joy! :D
Becos something egg-citing is happening!

McDonald’s will be having it’s national breakfast day on 18 March 2013 and giving away more than 100,000 Egg McMuffins to early birds like us!

“The early bird gets the EGG”
Yummms, I definitely love an idiom like that! <3

Details
Date: 18 march 2013
Time: 5am-10am

National Breakfast Day is a regional McDonald’s initiative that will see 5,000 McDonald’s Restaurants in Asia, the Middle East and Africa give away some five million Egg McMuffins in all.

In Singapore, 121 McDonald’s outlets will be participating. Each will give away 1,000 free Egg McMuffins to customers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ms Phyllis Cheung, Managing Director of McDonald’s Restaurants (Singapore), said: “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and on National Breakfast Day, we want to energise everyone’s morning and give them the fuel to Get Up and Go.”

“National Breakfast Day is our way of thanking our customers for making a McDonald’s breakfast the start of their day,” she added.

Have an egg-citing day on the 18th everyone!

Canon PIXMA 亲子手工工作坊 “纸”出创意 All-In-One Photo Printer Workshop

As a picture speaks a thousand words, photos are inevitably important in our lives.
Even though everything's pretty much digitalized these days, for certain things, I would still very much prefer them hardcopy in real life!
Like my lomo photo printouts, handicrafted scrapbooks etc.

I admit it's quite a hassle sometimes to go to the mall in order to print out photographs. We have to scroll through photos we want and save them one by one in compatible media disks (and make sure the disks are too huge in size otherwise the photo machine wouldn't load properly), change/dress up, make a trip to the mall, wait for the person to serve us, make additional adjustments on the spot with the stress of the personnel staring from the back, wait to print, queue to make payment and another trip back home. PHEW.
Just by typing it out makes me feel tired already, hurhur.

So, the new Canon PIXMA all-in-one photo printer is like god's gift.
You can now print photos anytime, anyday, in the comfort of your own room :)
See how sleek and compact it is.
Not only it's practical, it's a aesthetically pleasing to place it in your room/living room too!

Not only it is compatible with most of the media disks, you can print directly from your smart phone too!
How convenient!

What's more, it's very reasonably priced. Check out your nearby store for actual pricing :)

//edit
(someone posted a question, so I thought it would be good to add it in)

There're a number of canon pixma photo-printers in the market, with prices ranging from ~$70+ to ~$300.

If I remember correctly, the one I tried out personally during the workshop is Canon PIXMA AIO MG-5370, retailing for $229 :)

The one in the very first picture of this post is Canon PIXMA AIO MG-3170, with wirelss functions, retails for only $149!

There are even cheaper options like the basic Canon PIXMA AIO MG 2170, cost only $79.

Hope that helps! <3

On top of those specs, it comes with My Image Garden software which allows for organization of your photos and any images, create collages or other creative items such as calendars, business cards, stickers, disc labels etc!

There's also Canon PIXMAtown which is like a community/platform for sharing creative ideas and beautiful images!
One of the section contains step-by-step instructions to DIY cute stuffs using the canon pixma printer.
